SOMETHING SMELLS GOOD

Ephesians 5:1-2 (KJV)
"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."
To be followers is to become attendants and adherents; God is love, therefore love is who we are attending and adhering to. Furthermore, God is a spirit making our attendance to love as being a spiritual work. ...

How we walk out our lives towards others is this adhering to love. When we focus on being present is when His presence is sensed by those we are walking in love towards. Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
This kind of living becomes a sacrifice, not sacrifice in the sense of labor but in the sense of a gift. God so loved the world He gave, and so should we give. We give ourselves as a sacrifice of love creating a pleasant environment. This is where the sweet smelling savour comes into being.
