A RIGHT HEART

Psalm 78:37-39 (KJV)
“37 For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.”...
Is your heart right with God? Where is that found in the Bible – well, here it is. Good, bad, or indifferent. Being real (honest) with ourselves and being real (honest) with God no matter what condition we are in is having a right heart with God.
“Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues” (Psalm 78:36). To flatter means to try to please by complimentary remarks or attention. Seeking God’s approval with lies no matter how much flatter we use cannot please Him.
A right heart is not about being right or wrong, it is about being truthful and honest. When it comes to being truthful or truth, Jesus never said anything about being set free, He said, it will make you free; huge difference.
Living truthful before God produces creative (make) possibilities that otherwise cannot be. God always works with honesty and chooses to never work with dishonesty. He will make a way where there is no way for those who are truthful in the good, bad, and indifference; He is a real God in search of real hearts. Having a right heart even if we are not right with God can make a way for us to get right with God.
