Mark 1:33-35 (KJV)
“33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
It is not that prayer is essential; prayer is laying all our feelings at the Father’s feet, He is the only one who can make sense of the interactions we have, His perspectives gives us affirmation and keeps us focused on this fact, He is always with us and is showing us the way we should go. Not
essential; meaning, prayer is not a have to thing; it can only become
beneficial as it becomes a want to.
Our
Master Friend Jesus, sets a great example of where prayer fits in our lives. It
becomes fitting as we develop the desire to pray. Getting away from everybody
and everything that we can share our most private feelings and thoughts with
Father God is the bases for spiritual life, spiritual growth, and spiritual
direction.
