MOVING FORWARD

Joshua 13:1-2; 7-8
This narrative is an encouragement that with age our vision must continue to take hold of God-sized vision. As we grow older our role is to let go and allow God to accelerate His greater purpose. God’s Kingdom economy is poised for a major expansion, and we must catch the joy that we get to facilitate the last day’s global vision that Father God has burning in His heart. It may be the training of leaders in a one on one relational encounte
r, the writing of a prayer journal or books to leave for the grandchildren, the deployment of funding or the mentoring in deep conversations with the next generation.
We do not need to let our “winding down” let down the vision of God. We are all uniquely positioned for this stage of life, to prepare the expansion of God’s vision. Our influence with age is growing not waning. Now is the time for us to be more focused than ever by pouring into a few leaders with our time and resources that can set the stage for more than we have ever thought or have accomplished in our young life.
In order to do this we must surround ourselves with selected faithful friends who are aligned with our heart to please and fulfill the heart of Father God. We need to attach what gifts and resources we have to the task, find our purpose, and place on the younger generation the mantel of our mentorship, and free them to move forward in the power of the Holy Spirit.
