Colossians 2:14-15 (KJV)
“14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Jesus jumped up in here and “Blotted out” what was keeping us out, took it out of the way. Spoiled the principalities and powers using them to condemn us; took the shame off us an...d made us accepted in the beloved. Basically, His death to these things and their abusers gives us the ability to die to them as well. The purpose in this victory is that in this death we can live out our original purpose in the Father’s heart. It frees us to work on it till it is all worked out. “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:12-13). God at work in us is a “free enterprise;” (free of sin and death; free of condemnation) Jesus death on the cross made a way for this enterprise to take hold of us.
