AWESOMENESS

John 17:26 (KJV)
“26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
The unity existing in the Father and the Son is a manifestation of the love they have for each other. Jesus said, “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand” (John 3:35) also, “For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth…” (John 5:20). As a result of
His love for the Son, the Son had in His hand all He needed and was given the insight as to what the Father was doing. They were able to work together as one in this relational interaction. Jesus prayed the Father would give this very same relational interaction to them.
Jesus reveals to us as to why the Father loved Him: “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again” (John 10:17). “…Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit” (John 12:24).
God and His relational love longs to take hold of us. “…and I in them,” “I in them” longs to take hold of us also. Jesus died that He might multiply Himself in us and the Father loves Him because of it. Therefore, to keep from “abiding alone” or to keep it all to themselves, they both provided the means to extend themselves in us. Pretty awesome isn’t it -
