Revelation 1:6 (KJV)
"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
Melchisedec stood in the office of King and Priest. His office had no connection to this world; his office was that of the “most high God.” This being so, is why his space in this world could be shared with Abraham; after all, his office was that of heaven and not of this world. This simply means, his earthly space was borrowed space and belongs to all longing for the peace God gives (King of Salem). Therefore, he gave him the covenant of friendship in the bread and drink as a means of sharing the same space. This is why Jesus’ Kingship and Priesthood (Prince of Peace) is the same. He has given us the bread and drink as a means of sharing His space. His covenant of friendship is a means for us to share in His Kingdom. Except we eat His flesh and drink His blood this life of sharing cannot be in us.
