CONSUMING FIRE

Hebrews 12:28-29 (KJV)
“28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.”
Truth appears and takes hold of us; inward violence is to deny ourselves as we embrace it. This relational embrace transcends cognition; it becomes a matter of understanding what it brings and the transformation it demands. Truth is nonnegotiable; it is either received or rejected. Since it is dynamically existent, it cannot be held down, pressed down and made to take form; it is vibrant, pulsating, and moving, and cannot be made stagnate. It is a fire with no remaining flame; as it consumes new flames take on new shape as it brings all elements in submission to its presence. Our God is a consuming fire.
