1 John 5:10-12 (NASB77)
“10 The one who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness that God has borne concerning His Son.
11 And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
It is evident John wants us to understand the power of confidence; that in capturing the authenticity of Jesus and all that His realness gives to us as believers is life at its best. To encounter Jesus optimizes the best in life and becomes the eternal life of God in us; it is more than just registering the gospel story as being true, it is allowing the gospel story as a default is to a computer to become the set mind and heart in all that we live out in everyday life.
