IN A NEW WORLD

John 12:31-32 (KJV)
“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
The hour has come that Jesus’ death on the cross will bring justice to this world we live in. Not talking about our city, state, or nation; not talking about the grass, trees, or mountains. Talking about the world we live in.  “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (1 John 2:15-16).
This Greek word “kosmos” for world in our text is where we get our word “cosmos” from. It is referring to an arrangement or system by which something operates. Jesus’ death on the cross brings judgment to the way things operate in this world; His death brings to us a new arrangement of things from His world. We now operate in Righteousness, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Ghost; these three replace this world’s three. The prince of this world is “cast out.”
We can drag, nag, pull, jump up and down, scream and holler at folks; it is not until we are drawn to this that we are able to make it our choice. “…all men…” is making reference to humanity at large, both Jew and Gentile; His death on the cross is the only drawing power that evicts the prince of this world and gives us a new world to live in and by.
