Psalm 36:5 (KJV)
“Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.”
His mercy and His loyal love or covenant loyalty is not generated in this world; it comes from His world, it comes from the heavens and reaches to the clouds. This is why we have to look up to find our redemption; redemption comes from another world, His world. No human language can communicate appropriately His mercy and His loyalty to it.
It is not the literal heavens or clouds, there is no rocket ship designed by humans that can penetrate or enter His world; human science cannot explore it or handle it with their feebleness. Only inside our invisible heart the center of our created beings can we even come close to finding the vastness of His mercy. While looking up may be a physical positioning, it only represents our spiritual reaching to the Great Spirit, our Great God of Great Mercy.
The distance between us and the stars can only represent our carnal abilities and the distance carnality puts between us and God. Inside our beings is a journey waiting to be taken absent of any physical movement at all. Only this invisible thing called love can go there, hold it and handle it. It is in our capacity to receive His love that we can obtain His love with a language from His world.
