PERFECT LOVE

1 John 4:16-18 (KJV)
^“16  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
¹⁷  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
¹⁸  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

Father God is all up in here. I fear Him, and because I do, I have boldness with no fear. Ultimate respect for God produces fear free atmosphere and culture; it produces a boldness that is fearless to the bone.

His presence is so full of acceptance disapproval is never interpreted to be rejection; He is all up in here. This strengthens my respect for Him – He is Daddy. I grow discipline when I accept His discipline. He can hurt me and I receive it as medicine; my heart can dance with Him because I know He will never let me go. This is perfect love.

I was homeless at sixteen. I would place the Bible on my chest and drift into sleep crying Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, etc…In this I became convinced He loved me – fearless – I knew He was with me no matter what.

I fear Daddy too much to be afraid. He has convinced me if my fear for Him supersedes the fear of man and the fear of judgment; then, the fear of being over taken that I cannot take hold of Him cannot work in my mind or heart. He is all up in here – He is Daddy. This is perfect love.
