RECEIVE

John 1:12-13 (KJV)
“12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
This was the mindset Melchisedec had, “To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually” (Hebrews 7:2-3). Adopting this mindset is the power to become and is how we accept our adoption. Being accepted in the beloved is as much about us accepting our adoption as being adopted.
Kingdom power and authority is embedded the Saviors sacrifice (Revelation 1:5-6). Breaking ties with this world and our connections to it is not living in denial that we are humans it is living in the revelation that we are becoming sons of God; we have a heavenly Father who loves us and is for us and not against us. Being Born of the Spirit is simply being born of God; we become His children and He becomes our Father.
