LATER ALIGATOR

Luke 18:31-34 (KJV)
“31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.”
They had this look in their eyes with Jesus many times, like a cow hunting for an acorn in a snow storm. Jesus did His work and told them; He knew the Holy Spirit would come to do His work and turn it to life later.
The Holy Spirit is all about resurrecting things and making better sense of it after the fact. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).
Sometimes things are hidden from us; not that God is hiding them, it is the way we see things in the present hiding what is to come to pass. We struggle with how things are taken from us so God can add to us. Jesus being taken from them in the manner He was to be taken did not make any sense at all; even to the point, their present paradigm dismissed what He said about the future.
How many things are we dismissing because of faulty paradigms? All I can say is “later alligator.” Some things we have to live through and see die before the Holy Spirit can resurrect it to life.
