Acts 1:8 (KJV)
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
The manifest anointing or presence of the Holy Spirit is a witness that Jesus is real and is all the Scriptures report Him to be. It was said by our overseer in Egypt that discussing doctrine or theology to a Muslim stiffens their neck even harder. However, as they would catch them in a crisis or in great need and would offer prayer to them and the manifest power of God would heal or meet them at their need is when they would believe and be converted. Put Jesus on the stand and watch the Holy Ghost testify. When John the Baptist pulled Him up out of that water he saw the heavens split open before his eyes, and the Holy Ghost descended upon Jesus in the form of a dove, and the voice of the Father spoke from heaven and said, “This is my son in whom I am well pleased.” Why is the baptism of the Holy Ghost important? What kind of power is given to us in this baptism? A power when manifested becomes a witness that Jesus is real, authentic, and genuine.
