Grow

Are we ready for His coming? Is it possible for us to live like He is already here? He is in us and we are in Him; no matter where He is we are with Him and He is with us (Emanuel). Transition in His coming will not change the fact we are with Him and He is with us; of course, only if this is true. Jesus consistently in the narrative of the Gospels is saying concerning His coming, “Be Ready,” “Watch and Pray,” and “We do not know the Hour.” Why are we focusing on something we are not supposed to know rather than what we do know? Being in a dynamic relationship with Jesus now is no more dynamic than then. We are still we and He still Jesus, and we will be known “as we are known.” It is much like a child in the womb; the child is with the mother and carried by the mother inside her. In this “inside her” limits the child from seeing its mother or to be held differently, fed differently, or to encounter the mother in her world. Once the child is birthed it can see her and her world. We are still with the mother and now that we are birthed, we are no more “belonging” to the mother than before, just different in relationship to her world. The responsibility of the child in the womb is to simply grow that it may be ready when the time comes to be birthed. Likewise, we are to simply grow until He comes.
