1 Corinthians 1:4-6 (KJV)
“I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:”
Enriched: “to add greater value or significance to” (Dictionary.com). The testimony of Christ concerning us encompasses what has been, what is, and what is to come.” …Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty, which was, and is, and is to come…” (Revelation 4:8). What was and what is, is as prophetic as our “is to come” is. What we are to become cannot make sense without understanding where we are in the present and where we have been. The enriching process of Jesus in our lives takes what was meant for harm and interprets it for our good. This is why Jesus is the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24).
Jesus’ testimony is the spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10). The motive in His testimony is to reconcile all things (Colossians 1:20). When we submit to this enriching process, glorious transformation takes place; when what He is saying about us makes sense and becomes the grace given to us is when His testimony is confirmed in us. Makes us want to listen to Him doesn’t it -
